The minimum prerequisites for Fanshawe College admission vary based on the course being pursued. For post-secondary programs, a high school diploma and some subject-level percentages are required. A college diploma, university degree, or equivalent, as well as two years of applied work experience for some courses, are required for post-graduate programs. International applicants for bachelor's degree programs must have a final grade point average of 65% based on their top six Grade 12 courses.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TESTS

In addition to program-specific criteria, all international applicants (from non-English speaking countries) must demonstrate English competence by taking at least one English proficiency exam. Among them are the IELTS Academic exam, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English (Academic), and Duolingo English Test (DET.) This is mandatory as all the courses are taught in English.

Cambridge English Test (FCE/CAE/CPE)	An overall Cambridge English Scale score of 169 and no language skill below 162
ELE	A majority of the programs require a minimum score of 70% in all sections.
Fanshawe College ESL4/GAP5 students	A minimum grade of 80% in ESL4/GAP5 Level 8, 75% in ESL4/GAP5 Level 9, or 70% in ESL4/GAP5 Level 10
