Ecole Nationale daerotechnique, affiliated with Cegep Edouard-Montpetit, is one of the largest technical colleges in aeronautics in the world. It is located in the city of Longueuil, Quebec and is 20 minutes away from Montreal.
It offers 3 programmes Aircraft Maintenance, Avionics and Aerospace Engineering, all in French, which is recognised by Transport Canada.
Aircraft Maintenance is the only programme also provided in English as it is taught to the Canadian military and is authorized by the National Defense of Canada. All three courses take three years or six semesters to complete. Ecole Nationale daerotechnique admits 1300 students every year for regular education.
It offers unique facilities like it houses 37 aircraft including certified aeroplanes, helicopters and several planes for training and has 38 specialized laboratories and workshops with test benches and wind tunnels. The school ensures a balance between theory and practice and offers a vibrant student life.
Many events are arranged by the school in the field of music and sports to open networking opportunities for international students. Participation in these events is awarded with academic credits so that a stimulating environment is maintained.
Ecole Nationale daerotechnique is located in the St-Hubert airport zone, which offers good placement opportunities to the students in the aeronautical businesses. The graduates from this school can enter the job market directly or continue to study engineering at university.
