The Majarlin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health is based on the Broome Campus of the University of Notre Dame Australia. In Broome and around the Kimberley, they arrange placements for allied health and nursing students.

Placement in the Kimberley offers a unique combination of academic, professional, social, and cultural experiences, all of which are centred on inter-professional education. 

Majarlin offers a wide range of placement opportunities, including the following:

• Hospital
• Private practice
• NDIS providers
• Community health
• Community organisations e.g. Anglicare, Life Without Barriers
• Health organisations e.g. Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation, Boab Health
• Aged care
• Visits to remote communities
• Community events e.g. Garnduwa football carnival, NAIDOC week
• Community work readiness placements in schools and aged care

• Clinical placements are organised and facilitated.

• Cycling is a fantastic way to move around during the week and explore the sites on weekends
