Murdoch University offers foreign and domestic students a variety of on-campus and off-campus housing options. Murdoch University Village offers on-campus accommodations, including fully furnished rooms, a swimming pool, table tennis, and air hockey, a recreation room with barbecues, a projection screen, and communal kitchen, a movie room with satellite TV, group study rooms, a music room, and three large communal laundries. For 2022, weekly rates vary from AU 176.20 to AU 409.20.
Students who desire to stay at the Village for a short period of time while exploring for long-term housing choices in Australia can do so. Students can book a single room in a shared apartment on a nightly basis for as little as AUD 45.
Accommodations away from campus:
Shared houses: Students can either share a house with other students in a nearby Perth neighbourhood or rent an apartment individually. Students will have their own room in a shared house, but common areas such as kitchens and baths will be shared with housemates.
Homestay housing is available for those who want to live with an Australian family and learn about their culture. Students benefit from a variety of services, including a ride from the airport by their host family upon arrival, improved English language abilities through interaction, and assistance and advice from the host family.
