Academic Requirements by Nation
Indian applicants must meet certain (minimum) requirements in order to be admitted to Macquarie University, including language competency and school/college grades.
The following criteria are followed by Macquarie for undergraduate admissions:
All India Senior School Certificate (AISSC): CBSE should base scores on the average of the top four academic subjects.
The Indian Higher Secondary Certificate (HSSC): The average of all subjects will be used to compute state board scores.
Indian School Certificate (ISC): Scores will be computed using the average of the top three academic electives in addition to English.
Following are the minimum passing marks for group A (percentage) and group B (point system) in postgraduate programmes:
Group A: 50% (second class), while WAM is between 50% and 60%.
Group B: Grade C or 5.0(Pass) while WAM ranges from 5.0 to 6.0
