Eligibility Criteria
- Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships are available to citizens from eligible countries. Indian students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Age Requirements:You must be 18 years old or older when you start your scholarship.
- Work Experience Requirements: Postgraduate and mature undergraduate applicants (those who do not meet the below school leaver definition) must have relevant work experience. Work experience can be paid, unpaid or voluntary, and must meet the following criteria:
- One year of full-time work experience (i.e. 30 hours or more per week), or
- Two years of part-time work experience (i.e. up to 29 hours per week).
- Scholars must contribute to their country’s social or economic development for at least two years after completing their scholarship study. Preference is given in selection to applicants who can clearly describe on their application form how they will improve their country’s social and economic development after their scholarship.
- Applicants must reside in their home country for two years prior to applying.
- Successful scholarship applicants must meet both the academic entry requirements and the English language requirements determined by each education institution.
