Master of Fine Arts in Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture, Virginia Commonwealth University

This M.F.A. program is led by active, accomplished artists and focuses on a fluid, experimental, and progressive exploration of art. It fosters engagement with philosophical, critical, and technical aspects of contemporary art-making, encouraging growth and development of individual artists in a supportive environment. The program covers a broad spectrum of approaches including spatial, object, and material practices, as well as performance, film, lens-based media, and web technologies. It acts as a speculative laboratory, broadening into areas like science, philosophy, anthropology, ecology, media studies, and history, aiming to produce art that models meaningful experiences and sensations relevant to today’s world.
