Additional courses cover areas like Composition, Rhetoric, Media Studies, World Literature, Gender, Minority, and Ethnic Studies, with at least one course before 1800. Students select either an MA Thesis (ENGL 799) or an MA Portfolio (ENGL 798), and must choose a faculty advisor after 15 credits. The program requires continuous enrollment unless leaves of absence are granted, with the degree to be completed within five years.
