If you're interested in academic dentistry, then maybe you should cut your teeth in our master's program. In fact, we specifically offer this degree to both prepare qualified teachers in the field, as well as produce fully trained dental specialists. The program can be pursued via two paths: one for those holding a BS, BA with a science major, or a DMD, DDS, or BDS degree, focusing on Dental Biomaterials or Oral Biology. The second path is for those accepted into our postdoctoral residency program in specialties like Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Endodontics, Periodontology, or Prosthodontics, with a research focus specific to the discipline. Regardless of the path, students will complete at least 30 credit hours of graduate coursework, working with a faculty advisor to outline a curriculum aligned with their research and career goals.
