The University of Montreal is a French-language public research university located in Quebec, Canada, established in 1878. The University of Montreal has 8 different campuses. The main campus is spread over 65 hectares of land and other campuses are the Laval campus, MIL Campus, Saint-Hyacinthe Campus.
It is recognized for its higher education and offers 600 study programs through 13 faculties including Law, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Arts and Science, Music, Optometry, etc. Different campuses of the university offer education in different fields.
HEC Montreal is the management institute that offers programs in business administration, management, and finance, etc., Polytechnique Montreal offers programs that specialize in civil, chemical, electrical, computer, mechanical, and other fields of engineering.
The School of Public Health is the largest provider of public health training in Canada and the School of Optometry is the only French-language school in Canada that provides a doctoral degree in Optometry.
The other specialized programs provided by the university to its students are Library and Information Management, Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Statistical, and Operational Research, Computer Science and Information Systems, Pharmacy, etc.
