Established in 1972, George Mason University is the largest public research university in Fairfax, Virginia. Under the presidency of Gregory Washington, the university offers 211 degree programs, including master's, doctoral, professional levels, and graduate-level certificate courses.
Students from more than 130 countries are enrolled in the ten colleges and schools of the university and have access to 500 student organization groups.
Mason holds the highest rank amongst doctoral universities and is highly reputed in law, economics, and research. It offers 38 doctoral degrees, 78 UG and 94 master's degrees, and a law school.
