Minimum requirements for undergraduate study

In Standard 12, you must have a minimum of a 65 percent average in your four top subjects (excluding Hindi). We may also examine your standard 10 English and math results.

How do I submit my application?

The first step is to download and fill out our international application form.

Step two is to get the following documents ready:

  • a copy of your credentials
  • a copy of your certificate in English
  • A personal statement of at least 500 words outlining why you wish to study your selected course at DMU, as well as any other supporting information.
  • a photocopied copy of your passport
  • For undergraduate studies, one reference is required; for postgraduate study, two references are required.
  • A portfolio may be required for some of our creative courses.

On-Campus Accommodation

On-campus housing is available.

De Montfort University offers on-campus housing to its students, with the goal of providing housing to all new UK and international undergraduate students who want it.
There are 14 residence halls with about 4,600 rooms available at the university.
There are several contract lengths available, with weekly costs ranging from £97 to £191.

Placements

Our DMU Works programme includes placements, which are a popular and successful component. All students are eligible to participate in a long or short placement to obtain professional skills in the workplace. Our placements range from business insight visits to working for an employer over a sandwich year. Students can also enrol in our Enterprise Placement Year programme, which allows them to work on their own business idea for a year while receiving college credit.
