  • Formerly called the London Institute from 1986 to 2004, the University of Arts London (UAL) is ranked second globally in the 2021 QS World University Rankings for Art and Design. UAL consists of six elite colleges, namely the Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Fashion, London College of Communication, Wimbledon College of Arts, and Central Saint Martins. 
  • Regarded as Europe's largest specialist art and design university, UAL offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs along with pre-degree courses and short courses in 18 subjects. Popular subjects include animation, 3D design, communication, and graphic design, fashion making and pattern cutting, fashion design, fine art, textiles, and a few more. 
  • The university offers professional artists, designers, technicians, and theorists as teaching faculties and is the home of 36 out of 77 Royal Academicians who are UAL alumni. Rated by Ofsted as Outstanding in 2017, UAL homes 18,000 students from 130 countries around the world. Each college has its focus and philosophy, and UAL has more than 200 researchers currently working on different subjects across the six colleges.

Undergraduate Application to UAL

Undergraduate students can apply to the institution through the UCAS application system at www.ucas.com, with the UCAS Form Filling Process and Tips as a guide.

Graduate Application for UAL

International graduates can apply to the institution over the internet by following the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Decide the programme and specialization you'd like to pursue. Go to the page for the programme you're looking for.
Step 2: Select the 'International' tab from the 'Course Summary' section and click on 'a straight application.'
Step 3: Finally, at the bottom, click the 'Apply' button.
Step 4: Login if you already have an account; otherwise, create a new one.
Step 5: Follow the instructions to fill in the relevant information and create a strong password.
Step 6: You will be immediately logged out for security reasons as soon as your account is created. Re-login with the same email address and password.

Step 7: Complete the application form, including course information, mode of attendance, academic year, and so on.
Step 8: Fill in your home address.
Step 9: Include your contact information.
Step 10: Fill out the form and submit it.


After that, you must wait for the results.

On-Campus Accommodation

On-campus housing is available.

  • All students who have been accepted into a University course can live in halls of residence.
  • Standard tenancies at Cordwainers Court are 42 or 50 weeks long, and the fees listed below are for the next academic year starting in September 2022.
  • Standard rooms (shared bathroom) cost £177.50 per week for a 42-week tenancy, totaling £7,455, and £173.50 per week for a 50-week tenancy, totaling £8,675. These rooms are about 10 square metres in size and include single beds.
  • For 42-week rentals, standard rooms (mobility adaptive) cost £177.50 per week, totaling £7,455. These rooms are about 10 square metres in size and include single beds.

Included are the following:

  • A single bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a chair, and storage are all included.
  • Internet access is included in every accommodation at no additional cost.
  • Facilities for doing laundry
  • Staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • The typical monthly rent is between 500 and 700 pounds.
  • Studio apartments, three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom apartments, and communal apartments are among the residential types.
  • All basic services like as electricity, central heating, and unrestricted internet access are included in the fee for the student homes.
