The MSc Cyber Security is an applied computing course designed to develop your specialist knowledge and analytical skills for a career in the rapidly expanding field of cyber security. It covers areas such as infrastructure security—including firewalls, IPS, VPNs, and device hardening—along with cyber operations, penetration testing, forensics, and information security management. The course aims to equip you with the ability to solve digital, network, and cyber security problems, design and manage security solutions, and evaluate emergent technologies within legal, social, ethical, and commercial contexts. Beyond academics, students have the opportunity to engage with the Ethical Hacking Society and Women In Cyber Security (WiCyS) student chapter.
