The University of Aberdeen, established in 1495, is an ancient university in Aberdeen, Scotland. The public research university maintained its position in the top 200 universities globally and was titled the Scottish University of the Year in 2019. Aberdeen has its main campuses at Old Aberdeen and Foresterhill and satellite campuses spread across the UK and an international campus in Qatar. With an acceptance rate of 78%, the institution has over 15,000 students. Comprising three colleges, namely Christ's College, King's College and Marischal College, subdivided into 12 schools, offer over 370 undergraduate and 150 postgraduate programs in disciplines like Business, Management, Social Sciences, Research, Medicine, Nursing, Law, Engineering and Computer Science.

 Theology, Archaeology and Architecture are highly ranked and sought after courses. Undergraduates apply through the UCAS portal, whereas postgraduates through the University's Application Portal at an application fee of 20 GBP. Academic transcripts, LORs, scores of TOEFL, IELTS etc. and program-specific documents are also submitted. 

The average undergraduate tuition fee ranges from 17,200 to 19,700 GBP and from 20,000- 30,000 GBP for postgraduate courses. International students are awarded merit and need-based scholarships like Global Scholarships worth 2,000 GBP and Scotland's Saltire Scholarships worth 8,000 GBP for postgraduate students. 

The Students Union Building is the residential hall at the King's College campus in Old Aberdeen which provides on-campus accommodation in self-catered rooms with facilities like WiFi, laundry, social spaces, study zones and recreational areas at the annual rent of 5,500-7,800 GBP. The campus is equipped with a library, Elphinstone Hall for gatherings and meetings and Aberdeen Sports Village, which provides sports facilities. 

The student union, Aberdeen University Students Association, has over 120 clubs and societies. Aberdeen organises a summer internship program to prepare students for placements and employment. Graduates are offered well-paid jobs at an average salary of 60,000 GBP.
