To qualify for admission, applicants need at least six subjects at the Leaving Certificate, including minimum grades of H4 in two subjects and O6/H7 in four others. English and Irish are mandatory, unless exempt. Lab Science subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Agricultural Science are preferred. Non-EU students must meet equivalent academic and English language standards, with mature students needing to be at least 23 years old and having relevant science and language qualifications. Garda vetting and fitness to practise policies also apply due to the healthcare nature of the program.
