The process runs application, document review, Acceptance Letter, deposit, in that order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>Counselor insight: <\/em><\/strong><em>A &#8220;60-70% acceptance rate&#8221; implies a third of applicants get rejected on merit. CIU&#8217;s own address confirms it: 99258, Nicosia, North Cyprus, Mersin 10, T\u00fcrkiye. TRNC is recognised as a state only by Turkey; India, like the UN and most countries, recognises the Republic of Cyprus as the island&#8217;s government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entry route:<\/strong> a Turkish transit visa if required, then Ercan Airport in North Cyprus, not Larnaca or Paphos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No Indian consulate in North Cyprus:<\/strong> notarisation and consular support route via the Indian High Commission structure, typically through Turkey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Degree recognition needs its own check<\/strong>, covered below, since a TRNC-based degree isn&#8217;t automatically equivalent to an EU member state&#8217;s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>Counselor insight: <\/em><\/strong><em>The Cyprus International University acceptance rate question matters less here than the jurisdiction question. Two credentials, both confirmed on CIU&#8217;s own Faculty of Medicine page:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WDOMS listing:<\/strong> the World Directory of Medical Schools, run by WFME and FAIMER with WHO and the University of Copenhagen. A prerequisite for international licensing exams in many countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ECFMG Sponsor Note:<\/strong> makes CIU graduates eligible for ECFMG certification, required to practise medicine in the USA, and flagged by CIU as an advantage for Canada too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What this doesn&#8217;t mean for India:<\/em><\/strong><em> WDOMS and ECFMG are US\/international pathways, not Indian ones.
