keyword.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The award has been renamed.<\/strong> What most pages still call the Erasmus University Holland Scholarship is now published by the university as the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eur.nl\/en\/education\/practical-matters\/financial-matters\/scholarships-grants\/prospective-students-rotterdam\/holland-scholarship-prospective\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Erasmus University NL Scholarship<\/a>. Search the old name, and you reach listing sites quoting deadlines from 2022. Search the current name and you reach the university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>There is no single scholarship at Erasmus University Rotterdam.<\/strong> Awards are administered by each faculty, each with its own amount, its own form and its own deadline. Rotterdam School of Management runs a different scheme from Erasmus School of Economics, which runs a different one from Erasmus School of Law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The university states plainly that most applicants will not get one.<\/strong> EUR&#8217;s own scholarships page explains that because Dutch higher education is subsidised, tuition stays relatively low compared with the UK or the US, so it does not run an extensive scholarship program. It says your chances are slim, that awards often run for one year only, and that you should plan to arrange funding another way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deadlines can fall as early as January.<\/strong> EUR advises starting your scholarship search six to twelve months before you intend to enrol, which means beginning in late 2026 for a September 2027 start.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plan accordingly.<\/strong> Treat the Erasmus University Rotterdam scholarships as a possible discount on a cost you have already funded, not as the thing that makes Rotterdam affordable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Erasmus_University_Rotterdam_Scholarships_are_not_Erasmus_or_Erasmus_Mundus\"><\/span><strong>Erasmus University Rotterdam Scholarships are not Erasmus+ or Erasmus Mundus<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This confusion is common enough to deserve its own section. The university is named after Desiderius Erasmus, the Dutch humanist born in Rotterdam. Its scholarships are funded by the university, its faculties, the Erasmus Trustfonds and the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erasmus+ is the European Union&#8217;s mobility program, and Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are EU-funded degrees delivered by consortia of universities across several countries. Applying to an Erasmus Mundus consortium does not fund a master&#8217;s at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and being admitted to EUR does not give you access to Erasmus+ degree funding as a non-EEA applicant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want EU-funded scholarships, apply to Erasmus Mundus separately through its own catalogue. If you want to study at EUR, apply for the awards below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Counselor insight:<\/em><\/strong><em> We see applicants spend a full cycle preparing an Erasmus Mundus application in the belief that it funds their Rotterdam offer. The two processes share a name and nothing else. It works as a fee reduction rather than a payment: the scholarship portion is subtracted before the academic year begins, so you pay only the statutory fee. On the 2026-2027 figures that meant paying \u20ac2,694 instead of \u20ac25,800. RSM has since published a 2027-2028 non-EEA MSc fee of about \u20ac28,000 with a statutory fee of \u20ac2,771, so the same mechanism would be worth roughly \u20ac25,229, or Rs.27,66,613.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Erasmus Trustfonds structure is unusually generous in shape. At Erasmus School of Economics the published breakdown waives \u20ac2,695 of tuition through the scholarship and has the school pay the residual \u20ac18,305, then adds a living allowance of \u20ac1,200 per month, which is \u20ac14,400 for the academic year, plus a one-off personal allowance of \u20ac249, with the \u20ac228 immigration fee waived. Only the living and personal allowances reach your bank account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Counselor insight:<\/em><\/strong><em> If you are applying to RSM, the waiver is worth roughly five times the NL Scholarship. You do not choose between them on the form. RSM decides which award you receive, so the practical move is to make sure your file clears the waiver&#8217;s test score threshold rather than aiming at the smaller award.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligibility_for_Erasmus_University_Rotterdam_Scholarships\"><\/span><strong>Eligibility for Erasmus University Rotterdam Scholarships<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The core conditions on the university&#8217;s NL Scholarship page are consistent across most EUR awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Your nationality is non-EEA and you pay the institutional tuition fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are an excellent student by your faculty&#8217;s standard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are applying for a full-time bachelor&#8217;s or master&#8217;s at EUR.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You did not obtain a diploma at an educational institution in the Netherlands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have never been enrolled as a full degree student at a Dutch institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can receive the NL Scholarship only once.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You meet the specific requirements of the faculty running your program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Three of these deserve attention from Indian applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The never-enrolled rule.<\/strong> This disqualifies more people than students expect. A previous full degree at a Dutch institution rules you out. If you completed a semester exchange rather than a degree, check with the faculty directly, because the wording addresses full degree enrolment and diplomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What &#8220;excellent&#8221; means in Dutch terms.<\/strong> Dutch grading runs 1 to 10, and an 8.5 average is exceptional rather than merely strong. Erasmus School of Economics has required an average of at least 8.5 on that scale for its bachelor NL Scholarship. Do not assume 85% from an Indian board or university converts directly. Faculties assess transcripts individually and a first-class Indian degree does not automatically clear a Dutch 8.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Test scores where they apply.<\/strong> The RSM waiver is the clearest example. RSM has required proof of excellence for holders of non-Dutch bachelor degrees in the form of a GMAT Focus score of 595, a GMAT 10th edition score of 650, or a GRE of 325 or higher. If you are targeting that award, the test is not optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Counselor insight:<\/em><\/strong><em> Add a one-page note explaining your university&#8217;s grading scale and how your CGPA or percentage maps to it. Indian transcripts arrive in a dozen formats and a faculty committee comparing you against a Dutch 8.5 has no reference point without it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Faculty_Deadlines_for_2027-28\"><\/span><strong>Faculty Deadlines for 2027-28<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadlines are set per school and the earliest one governs your whole timeline.
