Start APS in January or February for a winter semester application.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_dMAT_Required_for_Medical_Schools_in_Germany\"><\/span><strong>Is dMAT Required for Medical Schools in Germany?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No. The<a href=\"https:\/\/leapscholar.com\/blog\/digital-master-test-dmat-exam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> dMAT <\/a>(Digital Master Test), added to the APS documentation process from June 29, 2026, applies only to a defined group of Master&#8217;s applicants whose undergraduate degree falls under engineering, commerce, finance, economics, business, or management, starting with the Summer Semester 2027 intake.<a href=\"https:\/\/aps-india.de\/dmat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aps-india.de\/dmat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">APS India&#8217;s own guidance<\/a> lists Medicine, along with Law, Pharmacy, and pure sciences, as fields outside the affected group. Since Humanmedizin is also a Staatsexamen program rather than a Bachelor&#8217;s or Master&#8217;s admission, it falls outside the dMAT&#8217;s scope on two counts, not one.
