It changed significantly and recently, which is precisely why so much of what&#8217;s floating around online about who qualifies is now wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>My insight:<\/em><\/strong><em> The single biggest mistake I notice is when a student assumes last year&#8217;s drop box for US visa eligibility still applies to them. A lot of study abroad content online still describes the pre-October 2025 rules. If you plan your travel around skipping an interview based on that outdated information, you risk finding out you need a slot at the exact moment you don&#8217;t have time to book one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>My insight:<\/em><\/strong><em> We&#8217;re seeing students discover these realities the hard way, close to their intake date, after assuming they&#8217;d qualify based on a friend&#8217;s experience from a year or two back.
