The University of Oxford has topped the Times Higher Education ranking list for the 7th time in a row. Harvard University has topped the teaching pillar, and Oxford leads the research pillar.
The U.S. universities performed well in the world rankings, with 7 U.S. universities in the top 10. However, the number of U.S. universities in the top 100 fell from 43 to 34 this year Trends reveal a big difference between the top 25% of U.S. universities and the bottom 75%, with the latter dropping considerably
Asia has the highest representation in the list, with 669 universities participating. Japan is leading the Asian countries with 117 universities, followed by China with 95 universities China has the fourth-largest number of institutions in the top 200, but the average score of China for international students slipped from 33.9 in 2022 to 32.4
Australia has 10 universities in the top 200, with the University of Melbourne being the country's best institution, ranked 34th overall Africa attained a notable increase in participation by a continent, with a 36.6% increase in participation, from 71 to 97 institutions
