Immigration, PGP, and Census Report

Canada’s 3 Major Announcements!

Canada has established itself as an attractive destination for immigrants. The country is inviting everyone, from scholars to skilled labour.  Three significant improvements will be made public by the Canadian Government by the end of this month.  Let’s dive into the details!

1. Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025

IRCC publishes an immigration levels plan annually to decide the number of immigrants to be welcomed over the next three years.   The number is expected to reach over 451,000 within 2024, breaking all existing records!

2. Parents and Grandparents      Program (PGP) 2022

IRCC has announced that application intake and the process will be available shortly for PGP.  Candidates may sponsor their parents' or grandparents' immigration to Canada under this initiative.

3. 2021 Census Report

The census report offers details about immigrants who have settled in Canada, including their numbers, area of residence, languages, and number of people they live with. This data is vital for other initiatives,  such as the Levels plan.

Canada last released such information in 2017, and much has changed since then. We can expect the new data to be drastically different and insightful.

October is surely Canada’s month. The nation has announced major updates in its job market and express entry rules!  Watch our space for more updates.
