1. Cost of Student Visa increases

Previously, the cost of a student visa was AU$630. But from July 1, 2022,the new rate is AU$650. The change will ensures efficient processing & potentially issue at a faster rate.

2. Minimum Wage Increase

The Australian Government  has hiked its minimum wage  by AU$40 per week, which amounts to an increase of 5.2%.  The new Minimum Wage is AU$812.60 per week i.e. AU$21.38 per hour.

3. Replacement temporary graduate visa

Previously issued a temporary graduate visa (subclass 485) but stuck overseas due to the pandemic? You may apply for a replacement temporary graduate visa. It has the same validity of up to 18 months as the original temporary graduate visa. The Application charge is AU$1,680.

4. More chances of PR for TSS worker

If issued a Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa during the pandemic, the possibility of settling in Australia via PR can be easy. As you could be eligible for PR via temporary residence transition stream (TRTS) employer nomination scheme.

5. No course changes after enrolling at Australian University

From July 1, 2022, you will not be allowed to change courses after enrolling in the university, unless you have obtained approval from the immigration minister. The approval is given only if the applicant do not pose a security threat to the country’s critical technology.
